Asahi Starck Building

The Asahi Beer building in Asakusa is one of the stranger buildings in Tokyo. Designed by french designer Philippe Starck, one of my favourite designers. The building grows out of the ground at obscure angles, topped with a golden head, or “golden turd” as some locals have named it. A perfect contrast to the more tradditional buildings that are found in Tokyo’s down town, Asakusa.
