Senso Ji

Asakusa Photo

Senso Ji

Senso ji is Tokyo’s oldest Buddist temple, situated in down town Asakusa. The temple doesn’t have the attractive gardens which you find at other Japanese temples, but the approach through the old market street gives a great impression of what the area may have looked like many years ago. Unlike other areas of Tokyo, you can get a true idea of a pre war Tokyo.
